Natural vitality boosters
Yesterday I stopped by a convenience store to pick up the most thirst quenching, healthy drink I could find when we were out and about (should have brought the water bottle!) Beside the check out I noticed little vials of something promising to boost energy for 5 hours….and I thought that was what vitamin-added soft drinks were for. (Joking! No, really…) So, aside from making sure you get enough sleep, here are some very natural, no supplement ideas for increasing vitality.
- Be passionate! Find things that inspire you, whether it is music, art, a hobby, or volunteering.
- Eat mindfully. Filling your body with oils and chemicals will not boost energy, and neither will over or under-eating. Try for veggies, fruits, whole grains and nuts.
- Don’t forget to stay hydrated with water!
- Giggle. Laughing is very good for you!
- Take a few deep breaths.
- If you do yoga, the standing poses are very invigorating. They refresh the body, stimulate the digestion and improve circulation and breathing.
- Get moving! I find even a brisk walk helps to increase my energy when I need it. If I can connect with nature while doing it, so much the better!
