Laughter as the best medicine

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.
e e cummings (1894 - 1962)

Laughter research has been a hot topic in recent years. Laughter stimulates the immune system. A good laugh causes the brain to release endorphins, and can help release potentially harmful emotions. When you laugh, you can let go and relax.

A hearty laugh exercises many muscles in your body, including facial, abdominals, diaphragm, back and respiratory. It can even be an aerobic workout.

Most importantly, a good sense of humor gives us perspective. Humor is a wonderful coping mechanism!

Here’s an interesting paper I came across: 10 good reasons to laugh for no reason.

Wishing you lots of laughs today…
