What is your exercise personality?
One of the best ways to stay motivated with fitness is to find out what works for you. Forcing yourself to do anything makes it a chore; enjoying life to the fullest is the best motivation! If you love to walk, get a pedometer and count your steps. If eating is your passion, hike over to the farmer’s market and stock your kitchen with fresh healthy ingredients. If you like to work out at a gym, try out several to find which is the best fit for you before you buy a membership. If you prefer to work out at home, have a variety of fitness DVDs on hand so you don’t get bored. If you are not sure what your exercise personality is, try this ‘What is your exercise personality‘ quiz over at Prevention. You might be surprised at the results!

Yes you are right on all accounts. It has taken me 4 years to get fit. Fitter than when I was in my teens. The main thing about getting fit, is not to do it for anyone else but yourself.
I don’t need to take that exercise personality test, I can safely predict the results!
I also know that spending too much time at the computer should be a reason to take more physical exercise…it’s just putting it into practice. Once I start I’m off, I must make myself a programme and follow your advice. Thanks for the prod!
You are so right Peter! Do it for yourself… Congrats on your success!
WalksfarWoman-This time of the year is really challenging for me to stay motivated, since so many other things are going on… I think I wrote this post because I needed a prod too! Thanks for the feedback!
When I took the quiz, the suggestions were the activities that actually do inspire me (yoga, long walks, etc.) so it was pretty accurate for me.
My result:
Your Personality Type: SPONTANEOUS
Best Choices
Short walks throughout the day
Taking the stairs
Bike rides
Hiking
Tennis
Racquetball
Squash
Basketball
Frisbee
I definitely like bike rides and hiking as well as short walks throughout the day.
Nice test, ciao! Wen.
