Keeping motivated
One of my challenges is keeping motivated. Here are 10 tips for staying motivated in bellydance (but they can be helpful in any fitness routine) by Dolphina.
- Schedule workouts: this one really works for me-schedule your workout on your calendar!
- Dress up: accessories improve technique.
- Make it fun!
- Have the right attitude: this is an opportunity to pamper yourself.
- Be inspired: post photos or quotes where you will see them.
- Set goals (begin small!). Achieving goals is motivational.
- Reward yourself: with small gifts like new music or accessories.
- Obey the five-minute rule: commit to at least 5 minutes, with the option to stop after that. Getting started is the biggest hurdle.
- Don’t overdo it: listen to your body.
- Sign up for a class: as well as the commitment, you will also meet people and have fun.
