So we braved the rain, and took the kids to check out the rides at Playland. Of course, with the rain, you run the risk of it closing early or some of the attractions not being available, but we were lucky and enjoyed everything that we had gone for, without the huge lineups. What fun we had! The kids got in tons of exercise too. Besides all the walking, there was a climbing wall that they tackled and a mini golf course. Now they are both tall enough to not miss any of the rides. Of course, the old Wooden Rollercoaster was a thrill. One of us went on the Hellevator 4 times. We missed the old ferris wheel–the Westcoast Wheel was just not the same. Fortunately, I insisted on saving the Flume for the last ride, because I was SOAKED when we got off that one! Call it mother’s intuition…OK, experience. We’re looking forward to going back when the PNE is on!
