1001 steps
On our way out of town today we stopped by 1001 Steps in White Rock with the children. The name is deceptive, since there are less than 300 steps. It refers to how many steps you feel like you’re climbing on the way back up, I think. Still it is a nice little hike and once you’ve made it down the steps, across the train tracks and down a little rocky cliff, there is a fairly secluded beach. There are many interesting rocks, shells and creatures to discover. We didn’t see any seals today but we did find assorted sea creatures, and were able to watch two gorgeous bald eagles flying together. A great start to the weekend!
