Belly dance your way to a total feminine body workout - review

This past week I found ‘Belly dance your way to a total feminine body workout’, by Amira. For over a year I’ve been trying to motivate myself back to belly dance. Since I’m still working on my shimmies and am not naturally coordinated, I’m not looking for anything too complicated.

Amira promises to sculpt my body in a ‘feminine way’. Perfect! Twenty minutes into the DVD, she starts the middle torso workout, moving seamlessly from chest circles into waist circles. I can definitely feel my abs being worked! And best of all, I’m having fun! The steps are not difficult, so I’m able to keep up.

Her class consists of a variety of women, with an age range of 6 - 66, and Amira enthusiastically accommodates all. Compared to other belly dance workouts, the moves seem simple, but are definitely effective! After the 20-minute mark, my abs, hips, butt & thighs are being worked—REALLY worked—for the next 40 minutes. After I’m finished my whole body feels tighter and toned!

According to the calorie charts, belly dancing burns 300-550 calories per hour.
